Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alejandro Katz received his MD degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1976. After being in private practice in Argentina for six years, Dr. Katz moved to the United States. In 1983, he received his O.M.D. degree from Samra University of Oriental Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Katz maintains two busy acupuncture clinics in Los Angeles and Van Nuys, California. He is the co-founder and President of Acucare, the first acupuncture network in California that educates the community on alternative medicine for optimum health. Dr. Katz is also a member of the National Acupuncture Guild, California Acupuncture Association, and Argentine Society of Acupuncture. In addition, Dr. Katz has hosted various Spanish-language radio and television programs designed to educate the Hispanic community on improving health through alternative medicine.
