Hands-On Pulse Taking Workshop

Pulse diagnosis is a difficult discipline that cannot be learned simply in theory. In order to attain competence and proficiency, pulse diagnosis must be learned through repeated practice, in a manner that allows you to “get your fingers on the pulses.” Join Dr. Jimmy Chang, a clinician with over 30 years of experience, and renowned for his skills in correlating definitive pulse diagnoses with effective herbal prescriptions, in this practical workshop where he teaches his system of pulse diagnosis in a completely hands-on manner.

Dr. Chang demonstrates and documents his pulse taking and other diagnostic techniques on all attendees. Afterwards the attendees themselves have the opportunity to take each others’ pulses and compare their results with what Dr. Chang has documented. In this manner, each attendee has the opportunity to feel what Dr. Chang feels, and learn through repeated practice to correctly identify pulses described in the Pulsynergy Made Easy series, and correlate them to their respective pathologies.

As a bonus and when applicable, Dr. Chang also discusses various diagnostic techniques, including inspection of color, body temperature, along with the relationship of blood pressure and heart rate to TCM diagnoses that he incorporates with pulse diagnosis and custom herbal formulations.

Note: To provide optimal learning conditions, the Hands-on Pulse Taking Workshops are limited to 30 people.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

• Be able to feel and distinguish between different pulses and know their indications and significance.
• Know how to incorporate the various diagnostic techniques with pulse diagnosis.
