Hysterectomy

Can anyone share their clinical experience regarding hysterectomies? A female patient age 62 has been advised by her GP to remove ovaries and uterus as a cancer preventative due to the presence of uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and a CA-125 of 67. No biopsy has been performed yet. Patient has hx of estrogen dependent breast cancer. Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated.
