COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Using recent functional neurological, anatomical, microbiological, and clinical acupuncture research, we can refine and update how we see and treat using acupuncture. By reading clinical discoveries and integrating the evolving conceptions of scientific understanding of acupuncture's effects, we can better understand the various layers of communication between related systems embedded within the body and how to address disease with acupuncture. In particular, the nervous and cardiovascular systems remain central to Qi & Blood dynamics fundamental to acupuncture and Chinese medical theory. With updated integrative understandings of acu-points, neuroscience, myofascial chains, and physiology, we are adding layers of information onto the persistent and mysteriously accurate wisdom of Chinese medicine's channel/point locations and functions.

In this course, you will expand your vocabulary and improve your practical integrative knowledge of acupuncture, understand relevant and recent neurological, physiological, and clinical acupuncture research to incorporate into your diagnostic and treatment strategies, and finally you will be given a research reference list to use in clinical practice for patients and referring medical professionals.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Add new depth to your vocabulary and to enhance your practical integrative knowledge of acupuncture.
  • Understand relevant and recent neurological, physiological, and clinical acupuncture research to integrate into your diagnostic and treatment strategies.
  • Obtain a useful reference list of research to utilize in clinical practice for patients and referring medical professionals.
