Ching Chi, Ph.D., D.A.O.M., L.Ac.

Dr. Ching Ching Chi, PhD, LAc is an accomplished healthcare practitioner, educator, and researcher with over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is the Founder of Care Comfort Cure LLC in Sunnyvale, California, where she integrates Fang’s Scalp Acupuncture (targeting the central nervous system) with Five Shu Points and holographic acupuncture (targeting the peripheral nervous system) to treat complex internal and external conditions. Her integrative approach focuses on drug reduction, minimizing side effects, and achieving enhanced therapeutic outcomes. Dr. Chi specializes in combining Traditional Chinese Medicine with evidence-based conventional medical protocols to address neurological disorders, chronic pain, gynecological and pediatric conditions, infertility, diabetes and its complications, stroke rehabilitation, cancer treatment side effects, autoimmune diseases such as lupus and multiple sclerosis, and dermatological conditions including eczema and psoriasis.

Dr. Chi began her studies with Dr. Fang Ben Zheng in 2007 and has since dedicated her practice to applying the Fang Scalp microsystem in harmony with core TCM theory, which she calls the TCM Unified Principles (UP) Method. To share and preserve this system, she founded UP Method LLC in 2019, a residency and continuing education program designed to provide clinical training and career development for TCM practitioners eager to incorporate the Unified Principles into their own practice. Since 2021, she has taught over 326 CEU hours through this program, offering advanced training in Fang Scalp Acupuncture, Channel Theory and Holographic Representation, Point Location by Channel Palpation, Ancient Qi Circle Movement Theory, and TCM specialties including Gynecology, Dermatology, and Rheumatology.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chi serves as a Professor at Five Branches University in San Jose, where she has taught since 2009. Her courses include Fang’s Scalp Acupuncture, Advanced Channel Theory, Application of Five Shu Points based on Nei Jing and Nan Jing, and TCM Foundations, History, and Philosophy. She also served as Director of the Chinese Master of TCM Program from 2007 to 2009, where she developed and implemented a premier Chinese-language curriculum aligned with ACAOM standards. Dr. Chi is also an international lecturer, having presented Fang Scalp Acupuncture for medical professionals in Taiwan (2022), China at Zhejiang TCM University (2023 and 2024), Brazil (2023 and 2024), and New Zealand at NZCCM (2024). Her lifelong dedication to uniting classical TCM wisdom with modern clinical application continues to inspire practitioners around the world.
