His courses highlight a holistic but clinically effective approach that blends classical principles with modern understanding.
Dr. Josh has worked with high-level athletes and institutions, including the San Diego Spirit WUSA Soccer Team, Larry Fitzgerald Receiver Camp, UCSD Athletic Training Center, ARCO Olympic Training Center, and Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine. His credentials include a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College, and Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification focused on orthopedic and neurological conditions. Students value his clear explanations, clinical efficiency, and ability to connect the wisdom of Chinese medicine to real-world treatment challenges. His continuing education offerings draw on experience with patients who have struggled with failed surgeries, prolonged medication use, and incomplete therapies, showing how acupuncture and herbs can provide meaningful results where other methods fall short. Dr. Josh teaches from direct clinical experience, giving practical tools and frameworks that practitioners can apply immediately in their own practice.
He has served as an instructor for the Treatment of Orthopedic Conditions at AAAOM in Roseville and at Pacific College in San Diego, where he introduced students to Sports Medicine Acupuncture, integrating contemporary orthopedic diagnosis with Traditional Chinese Medicine for motor point acupuncture, PNF stretching, and soft tissue release.
