Distance Learning CEU Video (Online)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this webinar, explore Dr. Po Hsin Lin's strategic thought process as he delivers a diagnosis and treatment plan LIVE from our studio! In this 2-hour webinar, Dr. Lin will perform telemedicine from NY, while the patient is in our CA studio. Before he analyzes the case, we will provide a brief case history and background of the patient and he will ask them questions to further understand their symptoms. Following the case analysis and prescribed treatment plan (herbs and acupuncture points), participants may ask questions regarding the diagnosis, etiology, and the logic behind the herb selection. This is an opportunity to learn why certain herbs were ruled out for treatment and the reasoning behind his prescriptions. Students can intern virtually with Dr. Lin and observe how he conducts remote consultations and discuss medical records and treatment plans. Students are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the webinar to make it more interactive and to simulate a live internship experience.

The patient he will be diagnosing has a chief complaint of depression, irregular hormones, and a mass in the brain

Additional Patient Information

  • 32-year-old female
  • Complaints: Headaches, migraine, high hormone, neck and leg pain, insomnia, neck bump, daily fatigue, occasional vertigo, lower backache
  • Gained 45 lbs within 1 year
  • Diagnosed with a pituitary glam tumor in the brain which caused the hormones to be high

Although there are many seasoned and excellent old TCM practitioners, not everyone is skilled at teaching, and even fewer are ready to give their unique expertise voluntarily. Dr. Lin has over 20 years of clinical diagnosis and treatment experience. His practice includes general Chinese medicine and treating difficult cases. For many years, he has continued to cultivate in the fields of academic research and Chinese medicine education. What's even rarer is that Dr. Lin is very patient and thorough when it comes to teaching. He can slow down, carefully analyze the pathology, explain treatments and prescribing points, and help students understand what goes on in an advanced practitioner's mind and how he determines the final herbal and acupuncture prescription.
