Dr. Michael Salewski is a 1990 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and is the founder of Hindsight Veterinary Care in Carlton, Oregon. He completed his acupuncture training at the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and he is certified in veterinary chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. He treats patients using a combination of conventional medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, therapeutic nutrition, and chiropractic. Dr. Salewski treats all species in his practice, but he specializes in the treatment of canine and equine athletes that compete at the national and international level in all disciplines. Dr. Salewski is an editor for the animals and pets forum for AllThings Healing.com an online healing community website. He lectures nationally and is on the faculty at the Northwest School of animal massage and has spoken for the United States Dressage Federation, the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association, Washington State College of Veterinary Medicine, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Golden Flower Chinese Herbs, Lotus Institute of Integrative Medicine, and at the 8th Advanced Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Conference in Beijing, China. He has co-authored two books on Chinese veterinary herbal medicine; Clinical Handbook of Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine and Chinese Herbal Formulas for Veterinarians as well as a novel, Barn Politics, under the pseudonym Philip Marshall.
