Guy Lindsey, OMD first encountered Chinese language and culture as a young missionary in Taiwan. Inspired by his experiences, he later returned to China to study acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Having studied Chinese during his time in Taiwan, Guy Lindsey was able to quickly secure two apprenticeships. He began with a one-year apprenticeship in acupuncture under Dr. Jang in Hsinchu County. He then completed a four-year intensive apprenticeship with Master Teacher Liang Shao-Hua in Taoyuan County. Under Dr. Liang, who served as President of the Taiwan Chinese Medical Association and trained under the renowned Dr. Ma Guang-Ya, Guy Lindsey studied not only acupuncture but also Chinese herbal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, infectious diseases, and multiple other TCM disciplines.
After completing his training, Guy Lindsey returned to the United States and earned certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has been licensed in Utah since 1994 and currently operates two clinics, in Midvale and Logan. His career includes service as an Active-Duty U.S. Air Force officer during Operation Desert Storm, work as a procurement consultant for Nutraceutical Corporation in China, and certification as a NAET provider and regional trainer. In his free time, he enjoys caring for his farm animals, skiing, and spending quality time with his family.
