A healer and seeker of knowledge at heart, Philip Tan is dedicated to health research, wellness education, and clinical treatment efficacy. After graduating with a premedical biology degree from Vanderbilt University, Philip went on to pursue a masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, Santa Cruz CA. He has studied extensively with world-renowned acupuncturists Kiiko Matsumoto and Richard Tan, as well as overseas at the Xuan Wu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Philip’s approach to acupuncture is always evolving by learning new up-to-date techniques and methods from his masters every year. In addition to his clinical work, Philip is also an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has taught numerous lectures to advanced Stanford medical students and East Asian Studies majors on the emergence of integrative medicine, focusing on the important role Chinese medicine plays with allopathic Western medicine in the management of chronic diseases.
