NCCAOM Renewal Requirements
60 PDA (also called CEU) required every 4 years for renewal.
Mandatory recertification requirements include:
- CPR certificate: Only one accepted per recertification cycle - 4 PDA points awarded. CPR Article
- Safety (SA): minimum 2 PDA points/hours. Live Webinars, Videos, Audio
- Ethics (ET): minimum 2 PDA points/hours. Live Webinars, Videos, Audio
- Core Competency subject areas [AOM-AC (Acupuncture), AOM-BIO (Biomedicine), AOM-CH (Chinese Herbology), or AOM-OM (Oriental Medicine)]: minimum 22 PDA points/hours. Live Webinars, Videos, Audio, Articles
- The remaining 30 hours can continue to be earned in the Core Competencies section OR the Diplomate has the option to submit PDA points in the Professional Enhancement section under coursework in adjunctive therapies (PE-CW) or participation in professional activities (PE-AT).
