COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course offers a comprehensive, trimester-by-trimester guide to supporting pregnancy with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Participants will learn safe and effective treatment approaches for common concerns in each stage of pregnancy—from morning sickness and threatened miscarriage (“slippery fetus”) in the first trimester, to supporting maternal well-being and fetal health through the later stages.

Emphasis will be placed on identifying red flags, understanding safety considerations, and knowing when to collaborate with birth providers to optimize patient outcomes. In addition, the course highlights the value of self-care for both practitioner and patient, reinforcing resilience and reducing stress throughout the pregnancy journey. With practical protocols, case studies, and integrative strategies, practitioners will gain the tools to confidently provide holistic, supportive care for pregnancy success.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Apply acupuncture and TCM protocols to support maternal health and address common pregnancy concerns throughout the trimesters.
  • Recognize red flags and safety considerations in pregnancy and determine when referral or collaboration with birth providers is necessary.
  • Integrate acupuncture with lifestyle guidance and adjunctive TCM approaches to enhance pregnancy outcomes.
  • Incorporate practitioner and patient self-care practices that foster resilience and support a safe pregnancy experience.
