COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course continues the exploration of safe and ethical fasting protocols for patients with diabetes, weight management concerns, and other metabolic conditions. Participants will examine the effects of fasting on insulin, glucose, triglycerides, A1c, and inflammatory markers, while reviewing which patients are suitable candidates, who requires caution, and when fasting is contraindicated. Proper referral practices and communication with medical teams will also be emphasized to ensure patient safety.

Day 2 focuses on practical implementation, covering time-restricted eating, intermittent fasting, and extended fasting protocols. Participants will learn step-by-step strategies to guide patients from preparation through the fasting process, including management of the eating period, troubleshooting common challenges, and safeguarding patients’ health and autonomy. Additional emphasis will be placed on assessing digestive function, preparing patients for fasting, and implementing fasting protocols safely and effectively in clinical practice.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

• Confidently implement fasting protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
