COURSE DESCRIPTION:
With cancer survival rates steadily improving, the need for integrative care that enhances both longevity and quality of life has never been greater. 'Helping Cancer Patients Live Longer & Healthier: Master Lessons of Over 40 Years' addresses this urgent need by exploring recent progress in cancer treatment from the perspective of Western medicine, while offering practical ways to integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine into patient care. Participants will learn how to combine acupuncture, Chinese herbs, dietary guidance, and select non-TCM supplements with mainstream oncology treatments to better support cancer patients and survivors.

Taught by Dr. Sheng, who brings over four decades of experience as a practitioner in both Western medicine and TCM, this course provides an invaluable perspective on bridging the two worlds of care. The class will highlight treatment approaches for breast cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, lung cancer, and blood disorders, while illustrating commonly used acupuncture points and herbal strategies. Drawing on clinical experience, case studies, and modern research, Dr. Sheng will provide practical tools for practitioners who want to help their patients live not only longer, but healthier lives.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Summarize recent progress in cancer treatment from the perspective of Western medicine.
  • Integrate acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and lifestyle strategies into supportive care for cancer patients and survivors.
  • Identify commonly used acupuncture points and herbal formulas for specific cancers including breast, GI, lung, and blood-related malignancies.
  • Provide dietary guidance and discuss safe use of non-TCM supplements to enhance patient outcomes.
