De Qi is often taught as simply the sensation felt by a patient, but the Huangdi Neijing presents it as a far richer, dynamic principle, one that shapes the effectiveness of every treatment. In this class, Dr. Henry McCann will redefine De Qi as a broader, dynamic principle, showing how understanding its true nature can guide needle technique and clinical strategies for more effective treatments. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of what De Qi truly is, why it matters, and how to apply this insight in clinical practice.
The course also provides practical strategies to elevate clinical results. Clinicians will explore Dao Ma needling techniques and discover how specific needle configurations can enhance therapeutic effect. In addition, the class will cover point combination principles rooted in Tung’s acupuncture system, offering actionable tools that can be immediately applied in practice. Combining classical insight with modern clinical strategies, this course empowers practitioners to refine their technique, maximize patient outcomes, and bring a higher level of precision and artistry to every treatment.
Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:
