Would giving herbs to someone with heart stints be ok when tonifying or moving blood in the upper jiao??
If the patient is on blood thinner, then don’t use any herbs to move blood. You can use other herbs to enhance the constitution. If the patient is not on a blood thinner, then you can use 50% blood mover and 50% some other herbs to enhance/tonify the body so it can be strong enough and have enough qi to move the blood.

What Herbal formulas does Dr Chang use to treat a Yin Qiao Pulse in the Left Cun Pulse?
If it’s pulse within a pulse you are referring to with angina or coronary heart disease, then you can consider using Si Ni Tang, Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang, Dan Shen, etc.
Bob Doane talks about a Deficiency Heat pulse in the chi position (not sure R or L!) that is basically at a higher than expected level; I understand more or less in the SF or highest level. Jimmy did not include this among his 6-8 aberrant chi pulses. Is this because it's not accurate? Because it's not common? Because it's not useful?? Chi higher than cun indicates kidney fire. That’s not often seen clinically.
For a super beginner like myself (1 year out of school), I need to radically simplify and prioritize all of this. I need to focus on 2-3 things that give me the "biggest bang for the buck;" that is, things that I can quickly succeed at and that will impress my patients/clients. Jimmy noted that the SP pulse stuff yields rapid results and is really satisfying to diagnose and treat because the patients notice an immediate improvement. I would LOVE to know what the #2 and maybe #3 "easiest to feel and treat" pulses are. Maybe Liver and Heart? If Jimmy could even suggest the second most satisfying (or common aberration) to focus on, that would really help me get off to a useful start! Bone spur, Flex Spur formula with the tight guitar string pulse on the right or left chi. Concave pulse on the left chi indicates anxiety.
