Available as On-Demand Distance Learning 3 Days After Live Webinar Date
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
As cannabis becomes an increasingly common option in primary care, practitioners need practical knowledge on when, why, and how to use it safely with their patients. *Medical Cannabis in Everyday Practice: GI, Stress, Cardiovascular & Pain Care* provides a focused introduction to integrating cannabis into treatment for common conditions, including gastrointestinal disorders, emotional stress, cardiovascular health, and pain management.
This course emphasizes safe prescribing, contraindications, and patient education, equipping practitioners to responsibly guide their patients while avoiding potential risks. In addition to clinical applications, participants will explore how to advocate for sustainable medicine and empower patients through clear, evidence-based education.
This is Part 3 of Dr. Potash's 3-course series. It is recommended to watch them in order, as each course will expand upon the previous courses.
Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:
Describe when and why cannabis may be considered for gastrointestinal, stress-related, cardiovascular, and pain conditions.
Recognize contraindications, precautions, and safety concerns in everyday cannabis use.
Provide effective patient education on the safe and appropriate use of cannabis in primary care.
Understand the practitioner’s role in advocating for sustainable and responsible cannabis medicine.
