COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this webinar, explore Dr. Po Hsin Lin's strategic thought process as he delivers a diagnosis and treatment plan LIVE from our studio! In this 2-hour webinar, Dr. Lin will perform telemedicine from NY, while the patient is in our CA studio. Before he analyzes the case, we will provide a brief case history and background of the patient and he will ask them questions to further understand their symptoms. Following the case analysis and prescribed treatment plan (herbs and acupuncture points), participants may ask questions regarding the diagnosis, etiology, and the logic behind the herb selection. This is an opportunity to learn why certain herbs were ruled out for treatment and the reasoning behind his prescriptions. Students can intern virtually with Dr. Lin and observe how he conducts remote consultations and discuss medical records and treatment plans. Students are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the webinar to make it more interactive and to simulate a live internship experience.

The patient he will be diagnosing has a chief complaint of shortness of breath, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and heart-related issues.

• 57-year-old male
• Complaints: Patient had COVID-19 in June 2022 and since then had low oxygen level (SpO2 88-90%), coughing, congestion, and shortness of breath. Patient also presents with fibromyalgia, heart problems (had murmur surgery, stent as a result of a previous heart attack, and is scheduled for a second stent), arthritis (hand, hip, neck, shoulder, ankles), high blood pressure, and high cholesterol
• Recently diagnosed with anemia

Although there are many seasoned and excellent old TCM practitioners, not everyone is skilled at teaching, and even fewer are ready to give their unique expertise voluntarily. For many years, he has continued to cultivate in the fields of academic research and Chinese medicine education.
