Evan Rabinowitz, D.Ac.

Dr. Evan Rabinowitz, D.Ac., is the founder and director of the Yao Shan Center for Chinese Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he has maintained a thriving clinical practice for over 25 years. He is a faculty member at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina, and a lecturer in the Integrative Medicine Program at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Previously, he served as Director of Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), where he played a pivotal role in developing the university’s Master’s and Doctoral programs in Oriental Medicine. He also served as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida.

In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Rabinowitz leads several ongoing educational programs for practitioners. His Yao Shan Herb Program and Specialty Rotations Program provide in-depth training in Chinese herbal medicine and specialty clinical topics such as gynecology, oncology, and endocrinology. He also runs a global mentorship and case study program for experienced practitioners, offering guidance in diagnosis and treatment planning for complex clinical cases. A nationally and internationally recognized educator, Dr. Rabinowitz teaches advanced seminars and presents regularly on East Asian medicine and philosophy. He holds a B.A. from The George Washington University, a Master of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute, and a Doctor of Acupuncture (D.Ac.) from MUIH.
