Participants will learn both Western and Chinese approaches to the treatment of inflammation. Infection and inflammation are distinct conditions that frequently occur concurrently. From the standpoint of Chinese medicine, both are considered heat, despite the fact that their pathologies and treatment strategies are quite different. "Heat" alone is insufficient to characterize the pathology of disease, as heat can manifest as fever, infection, inflammation, allergies, autoimmune disease, and other conditions. Likewise, "heat-clearing" is imprecise, and further information on its pharmacology, such as antipyretic, antibiotic (antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal), antiallergic, or anti-inflammatory actions, would be advantageous. Based on both Chinese herbology and Western pharmacology, this course provides valuable information for effectively diagnosing inflammation and selecting the appropriate herbal treatment.

For live webinars, you may cancel your registration up to 5 business days before the live event. A $25 administrative fee will be deducted from your refund. All requests must be submitted in writing.
