COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The majority of the day will focus on infertility, with the last hour reserved for nasal allergy as a bonus section.

Couples going through infertility often feel a sense of urgency or pressure to have a child. But in order for there to be a healthy pregnancy and healthy child, the health of the mother must first be taken into consideration. Balancing the mother's internal organs increases chances of conception and live birth.

This course explores common causes of infertility, such as Kidney yang deficiency and Cold in the Uterus, and shows a unique system of treatment that involves "Warming Fertility Moxibustion" and a combination of herbs for tonifying the Kidney yang. Other causes of infertility and their treatment with Organ Balance Acupuncture and herbal medicine are also explained in detail, such as high stress from Liver stagnation, and uterine blood flow impedance due to Heart blood deficiency. In addition, Dr. Heng-Wei Chang shares "Three Fertility Boosting Sexual Positions" to facilitate patients with their goals of rapid conception.

In the last bonus hour of the course, Dr. Chang will focus on nasal allergies. Globally, there are over 1 billion patients who suffer from allergic rhinitis, increasing at a rate of 100 million people every 6 years. Nasal allergies and rhinitis affect people of all ages, and can be more than just a passing annoyance. It can affect concentration, social situations, work, sleep, and many other aspects of life.

The Lung opens to the nose, is dominated by qi, and rules the exterior. Therefore, the primary treatment should be tonifying the Lung qi, dispelling external wind, and opening the nasal orifices. But this must be done in balance with the other internal organs, otherwise treatment efficacy cannot be elevated, or may even be ineffective.

Organ Balance Acupuncture not only teaches how to appropriately choose acupoints and herbs to treat the imbalance of the 5 zang organs, it also expands the understanding of TCM theory and pathology, greatly improving clinical efficacy.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Understand infertility's 3 aspects: physiology, pathology, and treatment according to the Organ Balance Acupuncture System
  • Understand nasal allergy's 3 aspects: physiology, pathology, and treatment according to the Organ Balance Acupuncture System
  • Patient education on infertility and nasal allergies
