COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The population of the world is aging fast, to the extent that the percentage of elderly patients will only continue to grow throughout the 21st century. Dr. Henry McCann, author of Practical Atlas of Tung's Acupuncture and Pricking the Vessels: Bloodletting Therapy in Chinese Medicine, shares in this course an overview of aging as seen through the lens of Chinese medicine. In addition, Dr. McCann will show how to apply Master Tung’s acupuncture and herbs to treat conditions related to aging.

Participants will learn commonly seen essential patterns of disharmony of the Heart, Lung, Liver, Spleen, and Kidney. Also discussed will be Master Tung’s acupuncture point strategies, as well as Chinese herbal treatment strategies for geriatric patients. Finally, safety concerns of acupuncture and moxibustion in the aging adult will be covered.
