Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial acupuncture, reduces aging signs by using needles to stimulate areas of facial tissue by increasing blood circulation to encourage collagen production. This allows the skin to be nourished, oxygenated, and moisturized from the inside out. In this course, participants will learn from one of Korea's top cosmetology acupuncturist with over 25 years of experience, Seung Choi, as she shares the fundamentals of facial cosmetic acupuncture.

In Part I of the two-part series, participants will learn the TCM perspective in aging and cosmetics, three fundamental principles of facial cosmetic acupuncture needling, the anatomy and physiology of the face and neck area, and how to handle possible side effects of facial cosmetic acupuncture. In addition, Seung will present and show popular distal points used in association with facial cosmetic acupuncture, acupressure and massage techniques around the neck, and cosmetic acupuncture points to address forehead lines and frown lines.

This course continues with Part II, which is highly recommended for an optimal learning experience. Click here to see Part II’s course description and to register.
