COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to Chinese Herbal Medicine is a course designed to cover the fundamentals of Chinese herbal medicine. It is designed for two groups of people:

1) Acupuncturist who did not study Chinese herbs during their medical training
2) Western medical professionals such as doctors and pharmacists interested in becoming more familiar with Chinese herbs

This course is a beginner’s series intended to help practitioners become more familiar with Chinese herbal medicine. Dr. John Chen will go through the main chapters of Chinese herbal medicine, what the herbs are, what are the effects and side effects, what is herbology from a TCM perspective, and what is the pharmacology of herbs from a Western medicine perspective.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

• Learn an overview of Chinese herbal medicine
• Learn what is herbology from a TCM perspective
• Learn pharmacology of herbs from a Western medicine perspective
