Infertility is estimated to affect one in seven couples worldwide. With such a prevalent issue, and the low success rate and high cost of Western medicine treatments, more and more people have turned to acupuncture and Oriental medicine for help. The pregnancy success rate of Oriental and Western medicine combined is about 75%, versus 10-38% with in-vitro fertilization alone.

Dr. Miki Shima, renowned fertility specialist and practitioner of traditional as well as Japanese style acupuncture, shares in this video recording his clinical expertise and time-tested treatment approaches to infertility. In this introductory video recording, learn the basics on how to accurately identify and diagnose the different physiological and environmental factors influencing fertility as well as the different types of treatment methods available in conjunction with Western therapies.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Understand the four phases of the menstrual cycle.
  • Learn how the four phases of the menstrual cycle relates to TCM theory.
  • Know the herbal formulas that can be used during each phase of the menstrual cycle to help regulate the cycle.
