COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Dr. Tan's Balance Method is a popular acupuncture system that focuses on balancing the body's meridians to alleviate pain and other health issues. When applying this method to pulse diagnosis, practitioners look for imbalances in the pulse to identify areas of the body that require attention. In terms of pattern differentiation, the Balance Method uses a set of diagnostic pillars to identify the root cause of a patient's symptoms, which include the affected meridian, the affected organ, the type of imbalance, and the type of pain. For acupuncture treatment, the Balance Method uses a unique needling protocol that involves needling the affected meridian on the opposite side of the body. Finally, when it comes to herbal prescriptions, the Balance Method emphasizes the use of formulas that complement the acupuncture treatment and address the underlying root cause of the patient's symptoms. By following these protocols, practitioners can effectively use Dr. Tan's Balance Method to diagnose, treat, and prevent a variety of health issues.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Review Balance Method
  • Expand BM theory to Pattern Diagnosis
  • Expand BM theory to point prescriptions
  • Expand BM theory to herbal prescriptions
